house rules

1. One wrapped gift each. Same budget for everyone. Labels off, gifts in the pile.
2. Draw numbers. Number 1 goes first and opens any gift.
3. On your turn: open a new gift or steal one that's already open.
4. Got stolen from? You go right away: open another gift or steal a different one.
5. No steal-backs. You can't take back the gift that was just taken from you.
6. Frozen after 3 steals. That gift stays put.
7. Final swap: after the last turn, number 1 may swap with anyone.

Be generous. Be dramatic. Never take the same gift twice in a row.
