How the generator works

1. Add everyone's name (2 to 50 people). Paste a list if you already have one.
2. Add exclusions: couples, housemates, or anyone who shouldn't draw each other. Hollyhush tells you right away if the rules make a draw impossible.
3. Pick a budget and the date you'll swap gifts. Optionally hide the names until a later reveal date.
4. Hollyhush draws the names and gives you one private link per person. Send each link by WhatsApp, iMessage, SMS or any group chat.

A draw you can trust

Every draw is a true derangement: nobody draws themselves, everyone gives exactly one gift and receives exactly one. The check runs before anything is saved, and the algorithm avoids two-person swaps (A draws B, B draws A) in groups of four or more, because they make the exchange feel less secret.

Names are drawn on the server with a cryptographic random number generator, not Math.random. Nothing about who drew whom is shown to the organiser unless they tick "show me everything", so you can play too.

Why no signup?

Most Secret Santa sites make everyone register an email so they can send the result. That means a dozen inboxes full of reminders, and relatives who give up halfway. Hollyhush skips it: the link itself is the key. It is long, random and works on any phone.

The trade-off is that the organiser sends the links. Hollyhush makes that one tap per person with pre-written WhatsApp and SMS messages.
